World Building Chat

And now for something completely different…

Leading up to Camp NaNoWriMo I recently led a chat on Twitter concerning world building and made slides for the talk so I thought I’d share them here with all of you. The points are self-explanatory, and while I believe they cover a lot, I make no claim that they’re comprehensive. It’s more of a World Building 101. There’s no delving into characters, clichés, or tropes, for instance.

Keep in mind that my divisions for the purpose of making the slides were often arbitrary. All of these topics are interrelated and overlap. Still, they’re, at the least, a good starting point. So, here we go.
