Lock the door,
he comes in the night bringing pain.
No place to hide
when the tormenting secrets that reign
and are already inside.

Agonized silence
hangs more fear on the strangled cries.
No rescue awaits
where safety is dressed in lies
and tomorrow comes too late.

  1. I hope you can see that there is light behind the dark. You can’t have one without the other. Dark times come and can seem like they last forever. But, they don’t. The dawn won’t be stopped. One day at a time we make it through. Keep moving forward.
