Now Before Tomorrow

I found the true soul that belonged to me
where it was hiding in the woods…

Then I became lost
before becoming ill
and almost dying
and arriving here
in this place I call home.

Alas, after all the trials I discover,
my love,
that the days that should have belonged to us
are lost.

But lost days are just that and no reflection upon today.
Today is now before tomorrow,
before all is lost again.
Today possesses more than potential sorrow
so long as we don’t wait until its end.
